Yuhuatai District connects South Anhui, North Anhui, South Jiangsu and North Jiangsu, which is surrounded by Shanghai City, Zhejiang Province and Anhui Province. The seat of the District Government is only 3 kilometers from the urban center of Nanjing, 18 kilometers from Xinshengwei, the largest river port along the Yangtze River for foreign trade, and 20 kilometers from Nanjing Lukou International Airport. The District borders on the Yangtze River on the north and Qinhuai River on the south. this district is run through by such ten main roads as Nanjing-Wuhu Railway, Nanjing-Wuhu, Nanjing-Danyang, Nanjing-Lishui, Nanjing-Ma’anshan, and Urban Belt Highways and Southern Zhongshan, New Airport, Weiba and Weijiu Roads. Saihong Intersection Bridge, the largest urban intersection bridge in China, has been built in the District. The construction of Nanjing Metro Terminal and the Third Yangtze River Bridge has been started in the District. Jinghu Highspeed Railway, South Stretch of Metro Line 1 and Nanjing South Railway Station which are under construction are all located or cross the District.
